I made these last summer at the Lacombe Blacksmith Shop Museum and didn’t have time to finish them. So yesterday while I was volunteering at the museum Nick ( the museums summer student) and myself finished the jaws. Super happy with how they turned out 5/8“ drawn down to 3/8” reigns by hand. Nicks in the shop from Wednesday to Sunday so I asked him to try them out and see what he thinks. I will be teaching blacksmithing classes this summer at the Lacombe Blacksmith Museum in Lacombe Alberta. First one is on June 11th there are still a few spots available. Please contact the lacombe museums for information on enrolment.
Finished their bigger brooder for them yesterday and they are all happily clucking and eating. I think next year I’ll be starting them in this brooder from the get go. I rather enjoyed the quiet in the house on my day off also. The little cluckers can cluck a lot.
